Make room for movement. Start with your everyday.
A practical way to think about your time, your space and the routines you want to build.

A movement routine needs a place in your life, not just a place on your to-do list. Before choosing a programme, it helps to understand what an ordinary week really looks like.
Start with the week you actually have
Look at your existing commitments before drawing up an ambitious new schedule. Which parts of the day are predictable? When do you usually have a little time to yourself? A plan that acknowledges work, family and rest is easier to organise than one built around a perfect week.
Give your routine a home
Think about where a guided session would fit. A clear, comfortable space and equipment that is easy to access can make preparation feel less like a separate task. Your setup should suit the programme and any guidance your coach or care team provides.
Choose a goal you can describe
“Be fitter” can mean many things. Write down what matters to you: making time for yourself, enjoying a regular activity or keeping track of a programme. A clear starting point makes it easier to explain your preferences to an expert.
Leave room to adjust
Check in with your routine occasionally. If the timing feels awkward, reconsider the timing. If you need more support, ask for it. The aim is to build a routine that belongs in your life, with a plan appropriate to your starting point.
Pass it on to someone who might enjoy it.
